Sci-Fi Babe of the Week for 2.8.10 – Eliza Dushku

Although “Dollhouse” wasn’t around long (only 27 episodes were produced), we sure will miss seeing Eliza Dushku kicking butt and playing sweet, sexy doll, Echo every week. We’d play with a doll like her any day!

Eliza got her big break when she first worked with her “Dollhouse” boss, Joss Whedon on his show, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Although her character, Faith, was originally supposed to appear for a few episodes, the fans loved her so much, the show’s producers kept her around. Her character also crossed over to Whedon’s spin-off of “Angel.” Although she had lots of problems, Faith was a badass vampire we would have gladly allowed to take a bite from our neck!

While growing up in Boston, a talent agent discovered Eliza at the age of 10. She appeared in several movies as a teenager, but the one that really caught our attention was when she donned a cheerleader’s outfit in the hit, “Bring it On.” She also had parts in “True Lies” and “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.” More recently, she has produced (including on “Dollhouse”) and voiced a video game character in the English version Yakuza, for the PlayStation 2. It seems this girl can do anything!

Another thing to love about Eliza is that she is an avid sports fan—she roots for her hometown favorite, the Boston Red Sox. She’s also dated a few sports stars, including former LA Laker, Rick Fox. This makes her even hotter! And Maxim Magazine agrees, having ranked her at #6 on their “Hot 100 Women of 2009.”

Yes, we are sad Eliza won’t be playing our favorite doll on “Dollhouse” any more, but we have faith that this brunette beauty will find another project. We just hope we get to see the sweet and sultry sides of her soon!
