Sci-Fi Babe of the Week for 2.15.10 – Milla Jovovich

Valentines Day usually makes us spend too much or feel like we just didn’t do enough, so we always rejoice when it’s over! But in honor of getting past this lovey holiday, we wanted to honor a classic Babe we love, love, love! Our Sci-Fi Babe of the week is Milla Jovovich —a model, actress and fashion designer.

Milla was first discovered when she began modeling at age 9. Two years later she got her big break when the head of marketing at Revlon chose her to appear in their “Most Unforgettable Women in the World” campaign. She later appeared on the covers of Vogue, The Face and over one hundred other covers. She has also modeled for everyone from the Gap to Versace.

In 1985, Milla enrolled in acting classes and began making appearances in films and on television.  But it was Luc Besson’s sci-fi action movie “The Fifth Element”, in 1997, that was her breakout role. She took more acting classes and karate to prepare for the role and is best remembered for her bandage-like costume, which left very little to the imagination. Can we say hot?!

In 2002, Milla became Alice, the heroine in the film “Resident Evil,” based on the video game of the same name. She performed most of her own stunts during filming and has continued in the title role in two follow-ups. She has always devoted herself to training to prepare for each film. The fourth “Resident Evil” film is set to premiere later in 2010.

We love a beautiful woman who can strut it on the runway and then kill zombies on screen. With her beauty and mojo, Milla has proven she will continue to be one of our favorite Sci-Fi Babez!
