Sci-Fi Babe of the Week for 3.22.10 – Elizabeth Mitchell

Elizabeth Mitchell is one of those girls who might come off as the girl next-door—just wrapped in the body of a gorgeous blonde. Her smile is beautiful and we can’t wait to see it when “V” returns on March 30th.

Elizabeth plays FBI agent Erica Evans in this remake of the classic “V” Sci-Fi 80’s mini-series. She ends up fighting on the resistance side, against the alien Visitors. In a few episodes we’ve seen her with a gun and fighting—how could we ask for a more perfect woman? Especially when she’s a devoted mom as well.

Unlike most actresses, Elizabeth Mitchell was born in Los Angeles. She moved to Texas at a young age and studied acting in college. Elizabeth started out successfully in theater before landing a role in the HBO movie “Gia” which got her noticed. She had small roles in other films such as “Nurse Betty” and “The Santa Clause 2.” Her real break came in 2006 though in her first Sci-Fi role on “Lost.”

Elizabeth Mitchell plays Juliet Burke. Sadly, Juliet perished at the beginning of the final season of “Lost.” There have been rumors that Juliet will reappear in the sideways world, the new time line this season. We sure hope so! Juliet was super smart (she’s a Dr. after all) and she could be badass too. We always knew she was really one of the good guys and it’d be nice to see her again before the series ends.

We look forward to seeing more of Elizabeth Mitchell on the final episodes of “V” and hopefully reappearing on “Lost.” We’re ready to see this beautiful Sci-Fi Babe do what she has to do to survive. Keep on fighting!
