Sci-Fi Babe of the Week for 5.3.10 – Gemma Arterton

Every year it seems like summer movies start earlier and earlier. But we rejoice at this time of year because it means action time. And this year we are looking forward to some major fantasy movies because they always star hot Babes who always seem to take on an ethereal presence we can’t resist. This year the “it” fantasy Babe seems to be Gemma Arterton who stars with Jake Gyllenhaal in “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” (releasing May 28, 2010).

One thing that really makes Gemma such a hot Babe is her English accent. Gemma Arterton has had a hot career since her film career started in 2007, when she played head (bad) girl Kelly in the comedy “St. Trinian’s.” But us American men really discovered her when she played Bond girl Strawberry Fields in 2008’s “Quantum of Solace.” This year, she already was one of the best things in “Clash of the Titans,” where she played the beautiful and never-aging Io.

Gemma loved theater after she saw her first production as a child. She aimed high to become an actress and earned a full grant to attend the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She made her stage debut at the Globe Theatre before she graduated. Gemma made her West End debut this year in “The Little Dog Laughed.” She also was the face of Avon’s Bond Girl 007 fragrance—further showing off how sexy this brown-eyed beauty really is!

We look forward to watching Gemma as Princess Tamina as she battles and runs to catch the Sands of Time in “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.” And we look forward to seeing more of Gemma in the future—hopefully as a Sci-Fi Babe!
