Sci-Fi Babe of the Week for 5.17.10 – Emilie de Ravin

We will admit—here at Sci-Fi Babez we are a bit caught up in how “Lost” will end this week. It’s just that we have six long years committed to this show! But what’s wrong with obsessing over an island filled with hot Babez?  So this week we focus on the beautiful blond with the Australian accent—Claire, played by Emilie de Ravin.

Emilie de Ravin has been a sci-fi babe since 2000, when she landed the role of Tess Harding on “Roswell.” But Emilie was not always focused on acting. She was born in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia in 1981 and grew up focusing on ballet. She began studying the dance when she was only 8 years old. She was accepted at the Australian Ballet School when she turned 15. It was in her teenage years that she took up acting.

After appearing in 8 episodes of “Beastmaster,” the young and sexy Emilie made a big move and relocated to Los Angeles at age 18. It ended up being the right move because Emilie landed her role on “Roswell” a month later. She continued to keep busy, starring in various movie and television roles including, “CSI: Miami” and “Brick.”

Emilie also caught our attention as a babe back in 2006 while appearing in the horror remake, “The Hills Have Eyes.” She landed her island role on “Lost” in 2004—another gorgeous blond who became part of the island’s mystery when she disappeared for 2 seasons of the show. She may be a bit off her rocker now, but we know Claire is a mother who has done continued to whatever it takes to be reunited with her child.

It would thrill us to see Claire get her happy ending on “Lost.” But more importantly, we hope this blonde beauty continues on her established path of being a fabulous Sci-Fi Babe!!
